Hi, Just receiving the audio tape and start practising the classical meditation. I don't touch the macnification tape yet because I want to concentrate first in the classical, doing step by step approach. Actually I ordered both the audio and video, but I don't receive the video yet. I was surprise that this form is a high level one that required just a visualization. I tough that five element means there were five forms for each element. The instruction told me to visualize a white, yellow, red light, and the planets, but I just can not create the visualization in my mind in that short time. In short world I have difficulties in doing visual imagenery. Perhaps I need some longer time, more preparation, or help suggestion in how to create the visualization. I can make simple 'direct' imagination, but never succeed in this visual imagenery like this one. By direct imagination I mean is something likes: pushing a wall or mountains, separating the sky and the earth, Scooping the Sea and Looking at the Horizon, rowing a boat, Flying Wild Goose, as in taiji qiqong and baduanjin. I want to keep trying and open mind for suggestion, but IF I can not manage this situation in short time, is it OK to be just relax the body and mind, letting go disturbing things, being mindfullness, just focus the attention in the lower dantian (It is diificult also to visualize the spinning movement of qi ball or whatever)? Another thing, is it ok to continue practising taiji qigong (sibashi) by Lin Hou Sheng in the morning, since I think it is the same with taichi or baduanjin ? I hope someone can help make suggestion, since I am far away from Indonesia, and it is not possible for me to leave my job for a workshop or class in America at this time ? Thank you in advance. Hi there, I'm no expert, but in my practice, I find it easier to kinesthetically feel the various areas of the body and their corresponding organs (as opposed to visualizing the planets). For instance, on the in breath, I'll focus my intention on my eyes, and on the out breath, I try to feel my liver. I find that when I do this with focus, the green sensation happens naturally. All in all, doing the practice consistently has built my focus, and ability to concentrate on virtually everything, so I am sure that you can build your skill in this by simply following the cd as best as you can. Don't get stuck in your head about it! Bryan Message was created on 10/28/2005 3:16:52 PM |
